f**k insomnia
Mar. 16th, 2005 12:26 amI have to be up in 4 hours and coherent enough in 7 to manage a class filled with squirrelly little
adolescents who are about to have a 4 day weekend starting thursday.
I'm sitting here *really* wide awake after trying to go to sleep a while ago, getting up, drinking warm milk,
puttering around on the net, buying books I can't afford from powells, writing in my regular personal journal,
and listening to slow quiet music.
I haven't had insomnia like I have the past few weeks in years. I'm on 4, count them 4 medicines that
are all supposed to make me drowsy. yes, I am getting married in July, which is both exciting and
pretty nerve-wracking, and I'm trying to remain positive and sane teaching at a middle school where
80% of the teachers seem to planning new jobs if not new careers starting next year. plus I seem to
have recurring, painful laryngitis.
so yes, there is stress in my life, but I don't feel the kind of anxiety that usual accompanies/provokes
this kind of insomnia.
finally beginning to yawn a little.
very little.
SIGH
