boneyard champagne
Jul. 24th, 2005 02:01 amsome years ago I had a long, drawn out dream, the details of which I won't bore you or myself with typing out here. suffice it to say it was very, very vivid. the part of the dream that stuck most in my mind though, was the label for a strangely dangerous bottle of champagne (don't ask, it was poisoned, I think).
anyway, if I wrote novels, I would definitely find a way to work in this champagne, just because. though I've never been able to draw the label very well, I've always wanted a t-shirt of the label for this imaginary bottle of champagne: the name is "boneyard champage". It's written in one of those gravestone-ish fonts. underneath the name is a skeleton, in red, sort of impressionistic strokes (matisse-ish, maybe) lying down, propped up on one elbow, looking straight out of the label, with a little motto underneath that says "a vintage from beyond the grape"
it's one of those odd things I often think of when I'm still awake at 2 am, and everyone else in the house (including all 3 kitties) is asleep.
